FAMILYMAN & WIYAH LINDO THE LEGENDS

I was to link with the LEGENDARY WIYAH LINDO AND FAMILYMAN BARRETT at Shepherd's Bush Empire last night. I was to photograph these LEGENDS in the Golden Age of Reggae. These photos will be in my forthcoming book PORTRAIT OF A LEGEND AND OTHER FOLKS.

THE BARRETT BROTHERS

I was to photograph The Legends Carlton Barrett and Familyman Barrett.
I choose the bass, because it is the backbone of the music. And my brother Carly choose the drum, which is the heartbeat. If your drummer is not right, then the music gonna have a bad heart. And if the bass is not right, then the music gonna have a bad back. Just imagine the music with a bad back and a bad heart. It would be crippled, you know. So that’s where we stand forth and strengthen the music...Familyman Barrett
